Our boxes are side loaded for easy unpacking. Be sure that the arrows are always facing up on the box. Open the box by cutting the tape and sliding the tray out of the box.

Unsleeving
Be careful not to damage flowers when un-sleeving. Do not try to remove the orchid without first tearing the sleeve or cutting with scissors.

Ethylene Damage
Ethylene Damage occurs in the distribution chain as orchid flowers produce ethylene. We prevent ethylene damage from occurring by placing ethyl sachets inside each box that leaves our facility. Please check for these if you believe ethylene damage has occurred. Ethylene damage appears in the form of shriveled flowers and/or buds. Not all of the flowers will be shriveled but several of them will be. Ethylene damage will show itself immediately. If you experience bud drop or flower drop after several days, check your light levels and/or watering. We add ethylene sachets to all our cases to prevent Ethylene Damage.
Common Problems
Cold Damage
Oftentimes our orchids are exposed to cold temperatures in the distribution chain after leaving our facility. We recommend storing the orchids at temperatures between 65-75 F. Ideally, never store the plants at temperatures below 60F. Ambient temperatures may be acceptable depending on the time of year but storing them in a temperature-controlled zone is best. If you believe cold damage has occurred, please contact us with pictures immediately. A symptom of cold damage is “melted” flowers. All the flowers and buds on both stems will be extremely soft and droopy. Be careful not to confuse cold damage with ethylene damage.
